St-Antonin
Jobs: Building Superintendant
and part time Firefighter

My Profile

I have worked for Premier Tech since 1995. I started on the production of peat bagging automatic equipment and in 1998, became the building superintendent. This position consists of managing the physical installation of the enterprise such as parking lot, building, aqueduct, etc.

Since 2000, I am a part time firefighter for the municipality of St-Antonin. By joining this association I became more involved in the community. Because of the training I had in this profession, I have developed a stronger interest in security and prevention. The information I have learned also gives me the opportunity to participate in the training of my co-workers at Premier Tech regarding the emergency plan in case of a disaster or of any type of accident

My Interest

Since I was very young, I have loved biking. I was only 3 years old when I first started. At 15 I realised that this was just the tip of the iceberg. My interest intensified year after year. It wasn’t long before I started to customise and modify my bike according to my taste and passion and continued learning the world of mountain biking.

In the fall of 1996, thanks to some friends, I discovered the road bicycle. I was a member of Premier Tech’s cycle club for 3 seasons from 1997 through 1999. We participated in regional and provincial events.

Since then, due to time issues, I have had to stop competing, but I have always continued riding my bikes. I travel about 3000 km on the road bike and between 1000 to 1500 km on the mountain bike every year.

My Trips

I have always wanted to discover the world to learn about new cultures and see new landscapes.

I have done this a couple of times. In fact, in 1999, I went to Cuba to participate in a training site for 7 days. I loved the experience and I wanted to renew it. I then prepared a new trip with a friend, where we biked across the entire country of Ecuador.

During the spring of 2002 and 2005, I rode a bike along the American East Coast to Key West, Florida for 6 weeks. I also discovered the splendid Rockies in 2004 while I was working in a factory for Premier Tech in Alberta.

Today, I have a new challenge: I want to ride across Canada from coast to coast.
